Vetrica Veterinary Surgery

Vetrica Veterinary Surgery is located at the north end of Rosyth, the end unit of Primrose Lane Medical Centre. Close to the motorway, and Rosyth railway station, we have ample free parking, as well as a bus stop close by.

Opening Times

We are open:

Monday - Friday: 8:30a.m. - 7:00p.m.
Saturday: 8:30a.m. - 11:00a.m.

We consult (preferably by appointment):

Monday - Friday: 9:00a.m. - 10:00a.m.
2:00p.m. - 2:30p.m.
5:00p.m. - 7:00p.m.
Saturday: 9:00a.m. - 11:00a.m.

Full 24 Hour Emergency Service

As long as you arrive on time, our efficient appointment system means waiting times are kept to a minimum. We do not send people away without an appointment, but unless it's an emergency, you may have to wait longer.

All our fees are available for you to check at your own convenience.

In Emergency

If you need us in an emergency, just call the regular surgery number. If the surgery is closed, the call will divert, at no extra cost to you, to the vet on call. (The divert process does take 10-15 seconds to complete, during which time it's easy to get the impression that the line has gone dead...please be patient). We'll do our best to assess and advise you with your problem, bearing in mind the limitations of not being able to physically examine the animal. Out of hours consultations do cost more, so we'll always say whether we think the animal needs to be seen before the next routine surgery, but at all times, if you're worried, and would rather not wait, then we'll be happy to see you.

Informal Atmosphere

We try at all times to foster a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We take time to gain your pet's confidence. For instance our free puppy parties allow you to bring your puppy when he's at his most impressionable. The puppies meet others their own age, and have a great time playing and running about. They even have some elementary dog training. When they come back, bigger and older, they're much happier to come. The visit to the vet is an exciting adventure!

You're welcome to drop in for a chat, have a coffee (it's free in reception all day), and bring your loved one along when she's well, and needs nothing done. Occasional visits to the vet like this work wonders for building confidence, so when the time comes and you have to come at a time of stress, at least she'll be in familiar surroundings. The large open area that the surgery is set in is ideal for dog walking.
