Examination Fees

Routine Examinations

These fees are for procedures carried out during the regular surgery opening hours. A supplement is applied outwith these hours.

Description Price Comments
ROUTINE £19.40 This is for the first two examinations for the same condition for all species not specifically mentioned.
EXTENDED £29.10 Appointments are allocated 10 minutes. This fee is charged if the time taken for an appointment exceeds 15 minutes.
REDUCED £14.50 This is for the third and subsequent examinations for the same condition, within 3 months.
BUDGIE £13.10 Also canaries, cockateils and parakeets.
FERRET £13.10
GUINEA PIG £13.10
RODENT £13.10
RABBIT £14.25
PUPPY/KITTEN EXAMINATION £19.40 Recently acquired puppies and kittens prior to first vaccination. Refunded at the time of vaccination.
POST OPERATIVE FREE All animals undergoing anaesthesia are entitled to a free check up 3 days later.
SUNDAY/BANK HOLIDAY £29.10 All species, from 9a.m. - noon only, this fee is charged, but there is no out of hours fee.
VETERINARY CERTIFICATE £20.26 Includes Pet Passport
EXPORT CERTIFICATE £40.42 For each animal included on a certificate.
 

Home Visits

The following fees are charged in addition to an examination fee.

DAYTIME £33.08 During normal surgery hours, Monday to Friday.
EVENING £80.33 7p.m. - 11p.m.
NIGHT £113.34 11p.m. - 8a.m. Night visits are only carried out for truely exceptional circumstances.
WEEKEND £69.30 Weekends and public holidays 8a.m. - 7p.m.
COLLECT ANIMAL £18.37 This is for the collection of an animal, during normal surgery hours, not by a veterinary surgeon.
