Anaesthetic Policies

Background

Research carried out in the early 1990s shows that approximately 1 in 800 animal anaesthetics results in a death. Compared with approximately 1 in 10,000 for humans, the veterinary profession clearly has room for improvement. At Vetrica, we take patient safety and welfare very seriously. In this series of pages, you will see the Vetrica response to this appalling statistic, and why pets really do come first at Vetrica.
